Visitor Information

Getting to the Show

  • Limited free parking is available in the parking field next to the car park
  • A FREE “Park & Ride” is in operation from Penrith Auction Mart to the Show field.  First bus from the Mart is at 10am and the last bus back from the show field is at 6pm, running every ½ hour traffic permitting
  • FREE bus service pick-ups at Penrith Bus Station and Bridge Lane, running every ½ hour traffic permitting

Entrance to the Show

  • FREE car park  Adults £15, Concessions £10, Children (5 - 16yrs) £5, Family (2 adults & 2 children) £35, Children under 5 FREE
  • Early Bird "On-Line" discounts are available on all tickets until Wednesday 12 July

Refreshments 

  • There are many different food units around the show field offering a variety of food choices to purchase
  • There is also a Catering Marquee where Members of the Public may purchase food and sit to consume it
  • A Beer tent is available serving alcoholic beverages

Trading Times

  • Trading Stands both on the field and in the Marquees are open between 10am and 5.30pm

Entertainments

  • Judging commences at 8am for the Horses and 9.30am in other livestock areas.  Members of the public are welcome to come and watch
  • Livestock to see include: Cattle, Sheep, Horses, Show Jumping, Poultry, Rabbits
  • The Industrial & Horticultural Tent opens after judging at 12.30pm
  • Other Main Ring entertainments commence from about 12.30pm 
  • Street entertainers wander the crowd
  • Some trade stands offer entertainments, in the past there have been: climbing wall, bouncy castle, hook a duck
  • Cumberland and Westmoreland wrestling starts at 1.15pm
  • Get crafty in the Creche tent with the “Creation Station”
  • Demonstrations in the kitchen in the Food Hall at regular intervals

Dogs

  • Please do not leave dogs in the car whilst at the show or the RSPCA will be informed
  • Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcomed to our Show
  • Child and Pet has been incorporated into our Fun Dog Show to be held at 1.30pm, pre-registering at the Vets 4 Pets gazebo
  • Dogs are not allowed to enter the livestock areas of the show i.e. sheep pens, cattle area, rabbits and poultry marquee

Rules of the Show

  • Members of the public are not allowed to enter the livestock areas whilst judging is in progress
  • Members of the public must obey instructions given by Stewards and Officials appointed by the Committee, it is for your safety!
  • It is a parent’s responsibility to keep an “eye” on their children.  This is an Agricultural Show so there are lots of large animals and machinery which can be a hazard
  • At all times persons must conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to a family Show/event
  • The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to persons to the show and/or remove persons from the Show after they have entered, with no refund

Toilets

  • There are toilets at various points around the field, including disabled toilets, which have baby changing facliities within too

First Aid

  • The Kentdale First Aid provide on-site first aid cover, with First Aiders patrolling the Show as well as at Caravans in the Show Area
